"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change"

Have you ever felt like you’re searching for meaning in the midst of life’s challenges? I understand how overwhelming that journey can feel, and I’m here to walk alongside you as you navigate it.

My path to becoming a therapist has been shaped by a variety of meaningful experiences, particularly my years in education. I had the honor of working on the Standing Rock Reservation in South Dakota and at a nature-based preschool in Grand Rapids, Michigan. These experiences taught me the power and importance of connection and supporting one another, which naturally led me to this helping profession.

I believe that each person has a deep desire for growth and understanding, even when that journey comes with some discomfort. In our therapy sessions, I strive to create a calm space where you feel completely accepted. I’ll be there with you as we explore your unique hopes and challenges. Together, we’ll work towards finding meaning and self-acceptance while building the skills you need to navigate life’s ups and downs..

My approach blends several evidence-based practices to create a supportive environment for your growth. Through mindfulness, we’ll cultivate present-moment awareness and acceptance, while cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) will empower you to reframe negative thoughts. I prioritize person-centered counseling to ensure you feel safe and understood as you take an active role in your healing process. Additionally, I incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which encourages you to acknowledge your thoughts and feelings without judgment, helping you focus on actions that align with your core values. Together, these practices will guide you on your journey toward healing and self-discovery.

Through this process, my hopes for you are that you’ll cultivate genuine self-acceptance, the confidence to face life’s challenges with resilience, and a clear view of that which matters most to you.
